Helping women touched by cancer become mothers.
Experimental & Alternative Options

There are multiple fertility preservation options with technological advances happening all the time. Most options, except for embryo freezing, are considered experimental by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine with varying degrees of success. They include:

  • Ovarian Suppression (GnRHa) – This is not a technique that has direct correlation to the number of live births.
  • Ovarian Tissue Freezing (OTC) – 15 babies have been born worldwide using this technique.
  • In Vitro Maturation (IVM)
  • Stimulation with Tamoxifen or Letrozole – Using breast cancer therapies that mimic Estrogen in the body are considered safe alternatives to traditional ovarian stimulation drugs for those with hormone sensitive tumors. Ask your oncologist if this option is better for you.
